To mark the 60th anniversary of the Antarctic Treaty, the New Zealand Antarctic Society has partnered with Land Information NZ to produce a new wall map of Antarctica. The large AO-sized wall map is a huge advance on previous maps of Antarctica.
The production of the new map was backed by a number of supporting partners including Victoria University of Wellington, Otago University, Waikato University, AUT University, NIWA, GNS, NZ Sea Rise, and the Antarctic Report.
The bold new map addresses climate change themes such as the ice sheets, ocean currents and sea ice. The map can be obtained by becoming a member of the NZ Antarctic Society at antarcticsociety.org.nz
